Cambridge botanical gardens

Hello my dear friends,

How are you?

I’ll admit to feeling a little overwhelmed of late. A little like a spent flower about to go to seed. I always relish Autumn when it comes, a chance to slow down again after the buzz of Spring & Summer. Autumn is a perfect time to reflect and to charge the batteries. My favourite way to recover from the busyness of life is to immerse myself in nature. So, last weekend the mr & I took ourselves off on a day trip to Cambridge Botanical Gardens. At the moment they are taking online bookings only (Sept 2020) so make sure you check their website first if you’d like to visit.

The gardens where inspiring and shoulder dropping! But the part I loved the most were the greenhouses. I’m a bit of a house plant addict so to see all my wonderful houseplants in an environment that they are supposed to be in was just marvellous. I almost felt a little sorry for my guys back home and told my husband that we need to whack the heating up when we get in and start misting everywhere, he didn’t seem impressed. Can’t win them all…

So enough of my ramblings, here are a few of my favourite pics from the day, all shot on my iPhone.

Oh p.s, nearly forgot. I’ll be at Woburn Sands Farmers Market this Saturday (12/09/20) 10am – 2pm selling my flowers, plants and crafts inspired by the seasons.
