Hello dear friends,
I’m so excited to finally announce the opening of our first flower and lifestyle store! We open our doors on Wednesday the second of October at 10am! Plus you’re all invited to join us on Saturday the 5th from 2pm and help us celebrate with a glass of Prosecco!
Find our incredibly tiny but oh so beautiful shop in Ampthill at 86 Dunstable Street, MK45 2JP.
There is a lovely tale that goes with the building. It’s a listed building and the search dictates ‘A George II red brick gazebo, standing in a corner of the former garden
(now built upon) traditionally used by Queen Katherine of Aragon, and where
she “taught the people to make lace” (an ancient Bedfordshire craft).
Simple brick facade, the hipped tile roof running pyramid-wise up to a
plain painted ball finial. Single glazed door opens onto steps.’
A sneaky peak of work in progress. Thankfully it’s all finished now! I managed to find some reclaimed oak for the shelving and we painted the interior in ‘Pompeian ash’ by Little Greene and the outside window in ‘Off black’ by farrow and ball.
As well as British flowers we will also be selling a large range of house and garden plants, artisan crafts, vintage planters and homeware.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
