Experimenting with soap making

Botanical soap

Botanical soap

I’ve been busy in my kitchen making botanical soap, the smell is heavenly! Last year I wanted to create a botanical skincare range with emphasis on the home-made, it turned out I was so busy on the plot and with my stall that time simply ran away with me. So this year I’m even more determined to get started before the glorious sunshine appears.

When I left school, I trained as a beauty therapist and specialised in aromatherapy, roll on twenty odd years and although I ended up on a different path I’ve always been very interested in botanicals and have loved gardening since I was five. It seems only natural now to create something else lovely and kind to the environment for A Bunch Of Wild.

So far I have made: Dried rosemary, lavender and neroli, which smells lush and is my husbands favourite. Rose petals and rose geranium, my favourite, and lavender, honey and oatmeal. Now I have to get them tested by a pharmacist. All being well, I plan on selling my new soaps on my stall and online.

For those of you that live locally, my first pop-up stall in Ampthill is on the 21st of April, my garden gate sales will be starting soon, I’ll keep you posted!

Enjoy the rest of your week.
